After finding a rather grainy service photo of Corporal Louis R. Tolpen in St Louis Post and Dispatch page 6A Sunday January 14th 1945 reporting his death, I have now got a clearer photo from his High School days in 1938. He was from a family with Eastern european origins and was a first generation Hebrew American, with 5 siblings.
